Karen Pattullo
I’ll never forget being six years old and going with my parents to choose a kitten. I wanted to call her Katie — but my family had other ideas, and Jasmine came home with us instead. She ruled the house for many years, even after our dog Samba joined the family. Around that same time, I was gifted my first horse-riding lessons — and another lifelong love began.
Animals have been part of my life ever since. Our home is now shared with dogs, cats, and a horse — some born in the UK and brought with us when we moved back to Australia — all part of our family and the inspiration behind My Pet Life.
What began as a creative outlet has grown into a purpose-driven business creating human-grade, eco-conscious products for dogs, cats, horses, and backyard birds. From functional treats and calming paw soaks to seed pods and seasonal party cakes, every product is made with care, using ingredients you’d recognise from your own kitchen.
Core to our mission from day one has been to reduce plastic waste. We use certified compostable pouches, reusable jars, and low-waste packaging including biodegradable ribbons, and compostable labels and cellophane. Wherever possible, we source local and do not shy away from using “imperfect” produce to reduce waste and support the circular economy.
At its heart, My Pet Life is about giving our pets the same care, quality, and love we’d expect for any member of the family — while protecting the planet they call home.

Growing up on a hobby farm was a magical experience that shaped my love for animals and the outdoors. Surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, and even tadpoles, I formed a deep bond with the natural world and all its creatures. My first pet, a beautiful chestnut pony named Candy, holds a special place in my heart as the beginning of a lifelong passion for caring for animals.
My formative years spent in the country taught me the importance of responsibility, compassion, and the joy that comes from building relationships with our animal companions. These lessons have stayed with me, inspiring me to make animals an integral part of my life. Whether it’s caring for my own pets or supporting others in providing for theirs, I’ve always believed that the love we give to animals should be reflected in how we care for them.
Providing our devoted companions with healthy, wholesome food is a vital part of that care. These treats are much more than just snacks—they’re a way to enrich their lives while celebrating the incredible bond we share with them. Each recipe is crafted with love and care, ensuring it’s not only delicious but also good for them and the planet.
It’s a joy and privilege to share these treats with you and your furry family members, and I hope they bring as much happiness to your lives as they do to ours!
Our Mission
We consider our animal companions shown in our gallery as inspiration along with all animals, big and small, furry or otherwise; we want to nurture, protect and love the all that our natural world has to offer to the best of our ability.
Complimenting our passion for animals is our desire to do what we can for the environment, and some of the people who work the hardest for the least reward to ensure everyone is provided for - farmers.
My Pet Life was created as a simple way to look after the health of our pets, at the same time as choosing products that are local, compostable, and affordable. That is our mission.
